Alex Palmer
I am really excited to share this conversation with Alex Palmer. And even though we have the same last name and an almost identical accent - we are not related.
In this episode, Alex and I talk about what it is like to experience a difficult pregnancy, fertility treatments, miscarriages, IVF and many of the other challenges that can come with trying to get pregnant - from the male perspective.
As listeners of this show will likely know, this subject is very personal to me and one that I feel is very important for men to talk about. Alex and I talk about how lonely and one-sided the process can feel for men and why we feel it is so important for men to talk to other men about what they're going through.
Alex and I recorded this conversation this summer, so you will hear him talking about being pregnant during this conversation. I am happy to report that in early November Alex and his wife Gretchen’s baby boy joined them and they are all doing well and are properly sleep-deprived!
Alex is the founder and host of The Fellowman Podcast (formerly the Blackdog Cast) and does great work over there so be sure to check it out.
My goal with this show is to have real conversations about the life we experience as dads. A big thanks to Alex for getting vulnerable and sharing his story.
