COVID CHECK-IN: Round 1 - Nick Roberts & Brooke Williamson
Welcome to the Covid Check-In. We will be dropping these episodes every Wednesday for the next little bit. Our goal with these episodes is to do a quick check-in with folks all around our country and see how covid is impacting them, their families, their business, and hear what they are doing to keep their families moving forward and to help their communities.
We couldn’t think of a better couple to start with than Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts. Nick is a Today’s Dad who sat down with us earlier this year (be sure to give his episode a listen for a deeper dive into this powerhouse couple), to talk about being Co-chef & Co-owner of four restaurants in the LA area with his wife (and Top Chef Season 14 Winner), Brooke.
We all know California has been hit really hard by Covid-19, and the impact on the independent restaurant community has been huge. Currently only one of Nick and Brooke’s four restaurants remains open, and they aren’t just spending their time doing business as usual. They are working hard (with the help of World Central Kitchen) to help feed the battered frontline medical workers to keep their spirits and energy up.
